HOW IT WORKS

Four Steps to Done.

No install, no AutoCAD license, no setup. Works from any browser.

Upload or choose sample drawings

Drag in your own DWG files, or start from the docuredo sample set if you would rather see the workflow first. Files travel over an encrypted connection and are processed on official Autodesk servers.

Define the change

Choose Translate or Find & Replace, then set the target language or the replacement rules — ACME Engineering Ltd to Northfield Engineering Ltd, and so on. You see the full scope and the cost before anything runs.

Process the drawing set

docuredo submits the drawings to the cloud engine in parallel — one run for the set, not an afternoon of opening files one at a time.

Review and download

Read the report of what was replaced and what was skipped, then download the updated DWGs individually or as a ZIP.

WHAT YOU GET BACK

See What You Get Back.

The updated DWGs are only part of the result. docuredo also shows what changed and what was skipped, so a team can review a drawing set before issuing it.

A skipped match is never a silent one: the report records the reason. Here inline MTEXT formatting codes split the search text, so docuredo reports it for review rather than risking a corrupted string.

Every line of the full report also carries the layout, the layer and the entity handle, alongside a per-rule total of matches found, replaced and skipped.

QUESTIONS

The fine print, plainly.

Do I need an AutoCAD license?

No. Processing runs on Autodesk's cloud service under our account. You only need a browser and your DWG files.

Will my drawings open correctly afterward?

Yes — files are edited by the genuine AutoCAD engine, not a converter or a reverse-engineered parser. What comes back is a normal DWG, same version behavior as saving from AutoCAD itself.

What happens to my files?

They upload directly from your browser to Autodesk cloud storage, are processed, and are permanently deleted within 48 hours. We never store drawings long-term and never use them for anything else.

What if a replacement can't be made safely?

It's skipped and listed in your audit report with its exact location, so you can fix those few by hand. We never guess inside complex MTEXT formatting.

Can it translate drawing text to another language?

Yes. Translate mode reads every piece of text out of your drawings, proposes a translation for each unique line, and shows you the whole list to check and edit. Nothing is written until you approve it. Because each drawing is opened twice — once to read, once to write — translate costs 3 credits per drawing instead of 1.
